In rooms that have hotel-like décor, a patient can let the phone ring with their own answering machine, enjoy convenient Internet access, nap on fully adjustable beds with pressure-relieving Tempur-Pedic® mattresses, and utilize two-way nurse call communication. A patient can even elect a licensed massage therapist to provide additional pampering or get an in-room manicure or pedicure, all while a private chef prepares his or her meals.
Serenity has over 25 employees seeking to meet your needs, including 24-hour RN, LVN, certified nursing assistants, and support staff – all trained in post-operative recovery care. They are also familiar with every physician’s protocol for medication, treatment and activity restrictions.
Galper is especially hands-on and closely involved with the influx of patients. “I try to meet each one of my patients individually at some point during their stay here,” he says. “This gives me the opportunity to get ‘real time’ feedback from each patient to be certain that their stay is as comfortable as possible and that all their expectations are exceeded.”
Because the majority of patients choose Serenity based on doctor referral, Galper makes it a point to meet with each loyal physician who refers his or her patient to the facility. “Good communication between the patient, the doctor, and my nursing staff is essential to a successful recovery,” he asserts.
