Education:
Dr. Rubinstein received his Bachelor of Science degree with honors from the City University of New York - Brooklyn College. He attended St. Louis University School of Medicine and graduated with Distinctions in both Community Service and Research. Throughout his education Dr. Rubinstein received many awards, accolades and honors including election to the Golden Key and Phi Beta Kappa honor societies as well as nomination to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.

Training:
After medical school Dr. Rubinstein trained in general surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach. He continued his training at Miami Childrens Hospital where he completed a fellowship in craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgery. Moving to San Francisco Dr. Rubinstein attended a fellowship in hand and microsurgery at the renowned Buncke Clinic. He completed his training in plastic surgery at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, Texas, the birthplace of the breast implant. Dr. Rubinstein has had the opportunity to train with the world's eminent surgeons at the forefront of developing techniques for plastic surgery. He is a member of the exclusive D. Ralph Millard Society as well as the esteemed Cronin, Brauer, Biggs Society. Dr Rubinstein is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Teaching Appointments/Affiliations:
Dr. Rubinstein currently serves as the Chief of the Section of Plastic Surgery for Jackson North Medical Center. He has published many papers and given many presentations on various subjects in plastic surgery to national and international audiences. He has co-authored articles with world renowned plastic surgeons including facelift expert Lawrence B. Robbins, MD and breast surgery expert Thomas Biggs, MD. Dr. Rubinstein currently serves on the editorial board of the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Journal for the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery of which he is an active member. He is also a charter member of the American Society of Bariatric Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Rubinstein teaches surgical residents and medical students as Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at NOVA Southeastern University School of Medicine as well as participating as clinical faculty in the plastic surgery residency program at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida.
