Eyebrow Lift

("Brow Lift" or "Forehead Lift")

Preparing for Eyebrow Lift

Many men and women who wish to retain their youthful appearances may benefit tremendously from eyebrow lift surgery, otherwise known as a "brow lift" or "forehead lift." Here on PlasticSurgery.com, we have an abundance of procedural information that is designed to educate you about eyebrow lift surgery.

In addition to our informational tools, we also encourage you to visit a highly qualified plastic surgeon who specializes in this surgery. He/she will be able to explain the procedure in greater detail, as well as determine if it is right for you and your specific surgical wants and needs.

The physician will also address what is needed from you to ensure a successful surgery. Before the procedure, the plastic surgeon may instruct that you:

  • Adjust your medications (either refrain from certain medicines, or begin taking others)
  • Undergo lab testing to ensure health
  • Refrain from smoking for at least two weeks before and after surgery

At this time, you are advised to ask any questions that you may have about brow lift surgery. The more you understand the procedure, the better prepared you will be should you decide to undergo forehead lift surgery. We have provided a "Surgeon Questionnaire" that you may want to take with you to your appointments.

Reading articles, such as "Before and After Facial Surgery," can help prepare you for your surgical procedure of choice.
