J.H. had just turned 21 and was working for Miami's Leonard Hochstein, M.D. when she figured "cute and girlish" should be a thing of the past for her. She wanted to look womanly. (She also asked to remain unidentified for medical privacy.)

J.H. three months after her procedure.

"I had done some modeling work at car shows and found I was paying so much attention to the full-figured, curvier models, I didn't really have my heart in the job," she says. "I knew I had the face for modeling but not the body."

J.H. stands five-feet-four and weighs 105 pounds.

It all started when J.H.'s friend saw Dr. Hochstein (affectionately known as "Dr. H" at his office) and spoke well of his chair side manner and the resulting breast augmentation ("augmentation mammoplasty") she obtained from him.

"I had just turned 21 and had been thinking about having a breast augmentation for quite a while," J.H. says. "I wanted the woman on the inside of me to show on the outside, too."

“I knew I had the face for modeling but not the body. ”

Her personal life was also affected.

"I had a boyfriend not too long ago and felt uncomfortable in intimate moments," she says. "Plus, I could never find a bra or bikini top to fit and shopping for clothes was equally hard."

In addition, people often said she should become a Playboy model.

"I was happy with the attention and compliments, but with an A cup breast size, well, a Playboy spread just did not seem realistic," she laments.

J.H. had been visiting plastic surgeons to inquire about a breast enlargement but was hearing too many sales spiels, with some surgeons trying to talk her into going larger than she wanted. She also looked at many, many before and after pictures of breast augmentation patients.

"Some surgeons were absolutely pushy," J.H. says. "But when I visited Dr. Hochstein, he mostly listened to me explaining what I wanted."

“I wanted the woman on the inside of me to show on the outside, too. ”

While at the practice, J.H. met Michelle Heavens, the patient coordinator, who coincidently enough, was looking to hire another person for the practice. While they talked, Michelle found that J.H. had everything she was looking for in an employee. And so, she was hired. That helped J.H. save her money to pay for a breast augmentation (also known as "breast implants surgery"), which would hopefully take place some time in the near future.

But luck was with her. J.H.'s birthday occurred after she started working, so Dr. Hochstein and his staff gave her a breast augmentation as a birthday gift, surprising and flabbergasting her all at once.

Silicone Breast Implants

"After the procedure, I woke up without pain and was able to go back to work in three days and resume driving in five," she says. "I decided on silicone implants because the feel and look is much more natural."

And the results? Does J.H. like life with c cup breasts? Just listen to her explain the changes:

"Shopping is fun again! Everything fits like it was made for me! Bras are easy to find! Modeling assignments are much more fun and it's easier to do the work! Getting dressed in the morning is fun again!"
